In my experience, I've had many men buy products for less staying power. There are many women out there who have bought products for a higher staying power, but they don't know what the product actually does. Wearing the correct size is a huge part of staying power, but many women don't know that. Women often think that the right size for them is "big" and "small" but that's not the case. When women are sizing up from a size 0 to a size 1 they're not looking at the whole picture. They're sizing down.
The right size pants for you will depend on how you want to stand out. If you have large thighs, then it's best to start with a size small.
